Anonymous asked: Hi! So I'm 19, turning 20 in a few months. I have a few tattoos, one under my collar bone that I would like to build off of for my 3/4 sleeve. I want to start it soon, but in terms of regretting, I was curious of you could give me your opinion. My sleeve is faith-based, so I know that won't change, but do you have any early tattoos that you regret? If so, why?
I’d say definitely do your research as far as the style you want and the artist that you want to do it. I don’t necessarily regret any of tattoos, but I do wish that for a couple of them I would have planned them better. For example: for my first tattoo I wanted something very specific in a specific style, but I wanted a tattoo artist that I was friends with to do it because he was the only artist I knew and I figured he’d be easier to work with. Well the style was not his personal style at all and after going back and forth over it I finally caved and compromised on some things that I wish I hadn’t.
That’s why pretty much the rest of my larger tattoos have been done by someone who’s style I like and who works with me to create something we will both be proud of. So keep that in mind when planning out your sleeve ;)
